Bedford Middle School students joined together this month to support Breast Cancer Awareness, turning the school pink in a powerful show of unity and compassion.

Organized by the school’s Spirit & Leadership Club, the initiative encouraged all students and staff to wear pink to school while club members distributed Breast Cancer Awareness wristbands. The event served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of awareness, education, and empathy in supporting those affected by breast cancer.

“Our Spirit & Leadership Club members take pride in finding ways to make a difference, and this event showed the power of student-led compassion,” said Don Savage, Spirit & Leadership Club Advisor. “It’s inspiring to see students channel their energy into meaningful actions that raise awareness and bring our school community together,” Alyssa Improglu, Spirit & Leadership Club Advisor 

The Spirit & Leadership Club, which promotes positive school culture and student involvement, regularly leads initiatives that foster inclusivity and civic responsibility among students. The club’s efforts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month demonstrate how even small acts—like wearing pink or sharing a supportive message—can have a lasting impact on the school community.
