The Bedford Middle School Science Olympiad team delivered an outstanding performance at the Brown University Invitational on December 7, earning multiple top-six medals and placing sixth overall among teams representing six states. Coaches Daniel Cortright and Caitlin Quinn accompanied the students as they competed in a wide range of STEM events that challenged their problem-solving, collaboration, and application of scientific knowledge.
At the latest Bedford Middle School faculty meeting, six members of the BMS Spirit and Leadership Committee presented two initiatives—the upcoming “5 Days of Spirit,” including CT Children’s PJ Day for Kids, and the annual school-wide door-decorating event—to strengthen community connection. Their presentation underscored the committee’s commitment to student voice, creativity, and building an inclusive, positive school culture.
