Intramurals

Our morning intramural program is an open gym style format where most students are playing basketball activities(small sided games, knockout).  Faculty advisors: Kristin Beirne (341-1512) kbeirne@westportps.org,  Dan Barbiero (341-1515) dbarbiero@westportps.org,  Kevin Fallon (341-1515) kfallon@westportps.org

Eligible students: All students in all grades
Application or audition required? Permission slip (CLICK HERE) signed by parent/guardian
Date range for this activity: September until June
Days of the week and time for this activity: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday Morning from 7:45 - 8:30 am.
Any fees, special equipment or considerations: None
Description of Activity: All Bedford students are encouraged to come to Intramurals. There is no commitment. Students can participate any time their schedule allows. Meet in the gymnasium and a teacher will sign you in. Feel free to call or email the intramural coordinators with any questions.

The CMS and BMS PTAs recently hosted a presentation by Dr. Chris Bogart from the Sasco River Center, focusing on the vital role of executive functioning in the middle school years. Dr. Bogart helped families bridge the gap between school and home by establishing a shared language and highlighting why these foundational skills are the key to long-term success. Parents walked away with a deeper understanding of the adolescent brain and, most importantly, practical strategies to help their children manage time and organization effectively.
